Walk of Hope Foundation

Project Overview

The Walk of Hope Foundation is endorsed by the United Nations and aims at spreading the message of Tolerance, Peace and Unity. It helps The Hague youth community through awareness-raising events and contributes to fundraising for under-privileged children’s education.

My Contributions

I played a key role in the Walks of Hope in The Hague in 2017 and 2018. In 2018, 1500 students from 9 international and Dutch schools walked from the International School of The Hague to The Peace Palace. The Walk was led in 2017 by the founder of the Walk of Hope, Sri M, UN Under-Secretary-General Adama Dieng and the Deputy Mayor of The Hague. I was appointed Ambassador of The Walk of Hope and as such, I led many further projects (see below), I represented the Foundation at meetings with the Municipality of The Hague, on Dutch Buzz Radio and Diplomat TV, I brought on board many inspired and motivated students who joined the Walk of Hope’s mission and activities. I have learned that a genuine cause inspires people to action.
